Most people will suffer with back pain at some time in their lives. Our lifestyle, working, sitting, perhaps not getting the rounded exercise we might do, everything seems to put a strain on our back. Problems can vary from the mildly irritating to unbearable.
As an Osteopath, I have many years of training and experience in understanding the way the spine functions, and how that is linked with your history and life style.
Pregnancy & Post – Partem Pain
Osteopathic treatment for pregnancy is a gentle way of easing pregnancy pains as the baby adapts to the physical changes which are taking place. Low back pain, sciatica and pubic symphysis dysfunction can be relieved with osteopathic treatment.
After giving birth your body has to recover from the postural and hormonal changes of pregnancy. It is beneficial to be checked by your osteopath to ensure that your pelvis and spine recover their normal balance and function.
So many people suffer with headaches. From the occasional and mild to the truly awful, headaches can be debilitating. After many years of practice I have developed an extremely successful approach to the treatment of chronic headache.
Even very severe and long standing headaches generally respond well to treatment, and the aim is to eliminate the headache completely and permanently. This may take a course of treatment if the headache is long standing, but my success rate with tension headaches has been audited at close to 100%.
I specialise in mechanics of the spine and pelvis and have worked with a number of dancers in the UK and NZ. Dancers constantly place large demands on their bodies to achieve a high level of skill and in doing so often get injured. My treatment restores balance and symmetry so you can achieve and maintain a high level of health, function and vitality.
